Katy majored in Theatre Arts and also pursued a minor in Broadcast Journalism at Temple University. After running a theatre company for 13 years in LA and NYC, it was time to venture out do one of the things she believes in the most, arts education. Katy has performed in a number of theatre productions around LA and NYC, performing in original and published work, musicals and festivals . She workshopped a new musical written by Fat Mike (NOFX), Soma Snakeoil and Jeff Marx (Avenue Q) for over 2 years in LA and NY. TV Credits include, "Days of Our Lives", "General Hospital", "Blunt Talk", "The Mindy Project", "Young and the Restless", and "The League". Katy currently teaches at the Orange County School of the Arts.
Kelley Dorney graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Emerson College. Since graduation, Kelley has worked for over a decade professionally in London, across the U.S., and even at sea. A native of Texas, Kelley has lived in Los Angeles for the past 4 years. In that time, she has worked locally with Center Theatre Group, the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, Musical Theatre West, 3D Theatricals, the Musical Theatre Guild, and Theatre 68. She began working as a casting assistant for Julia Flores Casting almost three years ago, and with Julia, Kelley has helped cast shows at La Mirada, Pasadena Playhouse, A Noise Within, Boston Court, Theatreworks, and Ensemble Theatre Company. Kelley is a member of AEA and SAG/AFTRA.
Joe Abraham - Dance Instructor
Joe Abraham is a veteran performer and teacher who has been working in show business for nearly 20 years… He has been on Broadway and around the country in shows such as Hairspray, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Shrek The Musical, CATS, Singin’ in the Rain and Young Frankenstein… among others. On television Joe has appeared in shows such as S.W.A.T., UnREAL, Revenge, Hart of Dixie, How to Get Away with Murder, and the FX Mini Series American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson. He also made his feature film debut working with Clint Eastwood in Jersey Boys.
Joe has a passion for teaching and has his first book titled The Thriving Artists is now recommended or required reading in theater departments at several major universities across the country. The Thriving Artists teaches young performers how to live an inspired life, build an empowered career, and all while having plenty of money in the bank while doing it!
Joe’s Audition Workshop is a truly transformative experience for all participants involved.
